Can you let me know do you give your guinea pig its veg straight from the fridge or is it best to leave out at room tempreture?
How does yours like theres?

mine are in a mini fridge that isnt turned on - if that makes sense lol...I prefer them to be room temp..as I dont actually think veg need to be refridgerated at all...

Mine are fed straight out the fridge, well almost they have to be washed & chopped and put into jugs - then they're distributed :)

I put all my veggies in the fridge, to be honest, I just find it more cost effective to buy bigger bags and keep it cool so that whatever it is lasts longer.

Celery doesn't hold up so well, but it makes the likes of cabbage and spinach and things last longer. Not that veggies last very long around my pigs anyway!

The veg keeps better in the fridge, definitely. I can buy over a weeks worth of veggies and it all lasts as new. Cucumber keeps for weeks.

I let the veg reach room temperature, but in summer I give them some food cold. I have a pig sensitive to gas/bloat, so feeding food cold from the fridge is a risk I don't like to take too much with her.

I keep all my veggies in the frigde but let them reach room temp before I give them to the pigs. I think I read in one of Peter Gurney's books that chilled food can be a stress on their stomachs.

Oooh glad i read this. We have had lots of problems with wendy getting bloat, following pete gurneys advice we give her infacol when it happens but this has made me wonder if maybe we should keep her veggies at room temp? ?/

mine get it how it comes lol, if it been in the fridge then they hve it like that, but if its been out on the side they get it like that, not to fussy lol

Mine too eat straight from the fridge, I can't leave them waiting once they start hear the fridge opening/bags rustling/knife chopping, they've already been wheeking their little hearts out for a good couple of mins! :)

ours have theirs straight from the fridge, always have, as soon as the fridge opens they demand it very noisily, I don't think they could be patient enough to wait for it to go to room temp lol

Mine dont mind how it comes as long as its quick :(|)

I wouldn't be able to put up with the very loud wheeking of the indoor piggies if they had to wait for their veg to warm up so they have it straight from the fridge. I think the outdoor piggies would wake the whole village if they were made to wait :))

Mine will eat it any which way, if they could get over the top of the grids they'd be eating it straight out the supermarket bag - they have an amazing ability to know that the bags rustling are from Tesco which means lots of goodness is coming there way!

I store my gp veggies in the fridge but usually let it get to room temperature before feeding.

In the cooler months of the year, I just keep the veg in a box in my piggy shed.

Mine eat veggies anywhich way they come lol So they tend to just get them straight out of the fridge. Although i did try them with some Asda's stir fry veggies today and they didn't seem impressed one bit - ate the herbs that i'd put with it but totally ignored the rest of it - don't think i'll bother buying that for them again lol

If I forget to get out my veg or am in a hurry I warm it up out of the fridge under the warm tap and dry it before feeding. Just takes the chill off and makes sure it is clean all in one go!

Mine have theirs any which way it comes. I have tried to wait for it to come to romm temperature but the noise is deafnind
