I recently got two new guinea pigs from a friend who were planning to give them away. They probably never eaten vegetables before and I'm trying to change up their diet. I already have a lot of timothy hay and pellets (good quality) and I want to know what kind of veggies do your piggies like? I've already given them carrots, cucumber, green peppers, and lettuce. I'm planning to give them more of a variety in the future when I find out what they like and dislike. Thanks!

I feed mine spring greens, cos lettice, corrandior, cucumber every day then I add a small amount of other bits to that changing them daily like carrot (they can not have a lot of carrot only every so often, nor can they eat iceberg lettuce) corn, peas , dill, parsley, kale, spinage, cherry tomatoes, raspberries and raspberry leaves, grass, grapes, Apple, green beans, pepers (mine don't like these) honey dew melon, swede, broccoli , colly, mint etc etc :)

Hehehe you beat me too it! XD

if they're not used to veggies, make sure you introduce them slowly to avoid tummy upsets. fresh herbs are a good one to try, and much gentler on tums apparently :)

as a vegetarian mine get a diet very similar to me! so far i've found that they love: cauliflower leaves, cucumber, watercress, kale, cos lettuce, carrot, whole sweetcorn, cabbage, parsnip, tomato, butternut squash, swede, broccoli stem, apples, pears, grapes, raspberry leaves, blueberries, coriander & parsley. if they don't seem to like something at first, keep trying-they're like babies in that they might refuse at first!

Franks diet is basically the same as the above !
Everyday diet is: Small handfull of spring greens, 2 green beans, celery, green and yellow bell pepper.
4 days a week, red pepper is added and cucumber (if I haven't eaten it all... ;))!
Every other day or two, one small chunk of carrot and gem lettuce leaf.
Then extra ones once or twice a week/month dependent on guidelines is fruits like apple, tomato, cabbage, sweet potato, etcetera :)

Hope we've all helped, tbh I think I need to try more herbs, Frank did like parsley!
