I was wondering what veggies are suitable for everyday... I have cucumber, corn on the cob, parsley, broccoli and cauliflower coming in the shopping please warn me if: any of these veggies are unsuitable for everyday or totally unsuitable. Please give your suggestions as well! The thing I’m most worried about is cucumber...

Guinea pigs LOVE LOVE LOVE cucumber and can have it every day:). Corn on the cob should be given sparingly as its full of sugar but they can have the outside leaves and the fluffy bits between the leaves and the cob quite happily. Parsley should be given sparingly as there is quite a bit of calcium in it. I give mine broccoli every few days (they particularly like the stalks) and they eat the leafy bits from the outside of the cauliflower.

You could try:-
Aubergine (Meg's absolute favourite veg in the whole wide world!)
Bell Pepper
Coriander
Dill
Carrot peelings (not a lot of carrot in a peeling)
Celery
Lettuce (NOT Iceberg)
Beetroot (turns wee and poop a purply colour :yikes:)
Banana & skin (occasional treat)
Melon & rind (occasional treat)
Tomatoes
Dandelion leaves (a firm favourite with all 5 of mine)
Green beans
Baby sweetcorn

Should answer most of your questions.

You will find great threads in the feeding section of which veg can be given. The list is very long so it’s probably best to check it out! They can eat a wide variety of veg and rotating them is great to do. Some things shouldn’t be given too often though due to high calcium levels such as parsley, kale, spinach. Brassicas (broccoli, cabbage etc) can cause bloating. Tomatoes are acidic.
Cucumber is fine to give daily. mine generally get a base of lettuce (not iceberg), bell peppers (excellent for vit c), coriander, cucumber and then I’ll add in a bit of something else in rotation (and some things don’t get given very often as mentioned above) - spring greens, herbs, baby sweetcorn, a bit of tomato, chard, spinach, rocket, green beans
I don’t give fruit very often.
As I say though, look through the feeding lists, they are very helpful in what can be given and whether they are suitable for regular feeding or whether they should be used more sparingly.
