The grass was FINALLY dry enough to put the girls out at about 12.30 today. So I put out Meg and Betsy who were very pleased to be out on the grass in the run. Velvet, on the other hand did NOT want to go out. When she eventually let me catch her I realised she desperately needed a bum bath as she had boar glue drying stickily on her bum :vom:. Well in she came and got the 'sausage method' treatment which she doesn't like but it means I don't need anybody else to hold her (she's a wriggler!) while administering her bum bath. She was thoroughly unimpressed. She quite liked the drying bit though. She is now nice and clean in the bum area.:D

When she went in the run with the other 2 girlies she went straight up to them and told them what had happened as I could hear a series of squeaks going on!

The 2 boys are in the hutch today as sometimes I think the girlies need a break (and so does the grass). If nice the boys will go out tomorrow.

Lucky girls. We are still waiting for the grass to dry off here. Piggies keep looking at me with 'well, what are we waiting for' expressions. Dark clouds coming up from Somerset so they might not get out today.

Oh no not a wriggler, I have one of those too. I use the "piggy burrito method" on her (her being the little terror Patchy) for anything grooming related. She's also less than impressed with it and sulks something bad afterwards.

Sounds like your "piggy burrito method" is the same as "the sausage method". Velvet didn't sulk just complained like mad whilst her bum was being bathed back to beautiful soft fur!

So we all know why she wasn't impressed. Mommy caught her having been up to no good with the boys!

Well she was pregnant when I bought her so she is obviously irrestible! Or a little harl*t.

Awwww!

Poppy was chasing Snowy around like mad yesterday, and trying to mount him. It was hilarious! Snowy was running away with a HELP! Look on his little face. She wore him out! It was unusual behaviour, so I checked her and she is having a strong season. Poor Snowy...he has 7 sows to, Er, keep happy.

No wonder le looks knackered most of the time.
