I have 3 pigs, one neutered boar and two sows. The only problem with trio's is that one can get left out. If you want more I would advise to get 2 more from a recommended rescue so you can make sure they have been bonded properly. Trio's can work fine, but as I said, it's possible the newcomer will get bullied and left out.
