I have decided to get a guinea pig after my daughter adopted to lovely adult girls from the blue cross. It is about 6 years since we had any piggies, but cuddling hers rekindled my desire for a piggie. It is my birthday tomorrow and I have found the little man that I want to adopt. He is beatuiful! and alone after being injured by the other boys he was housed with. All recovered now, so my daughters are picking him up for me tomorrow as I am working. Can't wait to get him home! and post pics. I will have him neutered so he can live with our girls. They have already been bonded with a boar previously, so fingers crossed they will all get along :)

You have good chances as far as I know. I bonded a boar and sow last year, and it was easy and straight forward, I made a massive build up to it, and it was boring lol in a good way though. I also kindnof risked it but buying them separate, I had the sow for 2 years before I got her a boar friend

Have done it twice before after neutering rescued boars and has gone super well. thank you

Your probs already know more than me about Guinea pigs, but remember the 6 week wait after neuter 👍

Welcome! Sounds like a lovely plan, our little husboar Theo had been bullied in a pet shop then kept alone by his first owner when we brought him home, and a submissive little boar desperate for company can make a lovely companion for lady pigs, and its so rewarding to see how happy a lonely bullied boy can be when he's suddenly elevated to husband status!
Is he going to live next door to the girls (with a separate cage or a well secured divider) while he is neutered and does his 6 week post op wait? Thats always a good plan so they can get to know each other gradually, just make sure the cage is secure enough that he cant reach the girls if his amorous urges get the better of him!
@Merab's Slave also has a previously lonely and bullied little boy who she brought home and neutered to be with her girls, though he isnt so little now...!

Micah had been labelled as unable to be bonded as he’d been badly bullied.
He was a scared and lonely little scrap when my heart totally bypassed my brain and I rescued him just before we moved house.
He was neutered and lived next door to his prospective wives for 6 weeks.
@PigglePuggle looked after them while we moved and Micah lots of special attention there as he slowly recovered.
Now he’s a healthy and happy boar living with his 3 wives.

So glad to hear about Micah's rescue and recovery. I didn't know of his situation before this post. I just thought he came and bonded well with your three girls.

What a lovely story! We had a similar situation years ago when we rescued a big white boar just over a year old. He had been attacked by his brothers in given up by a pet shop to the rescue. They nursed him and he live alone until we took him. He was neutered and was a wonderful husboar to our three girls for his whole life even though he has been alone a long time. He hadn't been handled much and never liked being picked up, but once in my arms he learned to love his cuddles :)
