My two boys make an absolute mess with their poop. It's fine when it's in the hidey houses where I can just tip it into the bin, or under their plastic igloo where I can just sweep or vacuum it up. But a lot of their poop seems to get pushed in clumps up against the side/on the bottom of the choroplast and into the fleece. It doesn't seem that it comes out in clumps or anything, but that it gets squashed from them moving around or sitting/standing on it. Is that normal? Everywhere else in the cage their droppings look normal, it's just behind their fleece tunnels where they like to sit the most. I focus on those areas when I spot-clean but by the next day or earlier it's already back to looking like this (have included pictures, my poor camera roll) There was a layer of normal poop pellets, which I vacuumed up, and then this was underneath. Enjoy the bonus pic of Moss sneaking into the frame when I tried to take the picture

What I try and do where they poop the most is put their bobble map up the side a bit. They poop along the back but it doesn’t fall between the edge of the cage and mat. Hope that makes sense.

Picture in case I haven’t explained it well. 😁

Ooh that makes sense, I'll try that, thank you! Your piggies are so cute 🥰

We do the same as Weepweeps- pull the bobble bath mats up the side a little.
When the boys are in the temporary set up on the floor (& hot summer days) I put a single layer of fleece tucked inside the bars to stop everything falling out of the grids, near they hay piles. ( no correx) It also means I can pile the hay higher!

Not the best picture as an example, but this was taken last night. The fleece has pegs on the top & is tucked under the bath mats to prevent cheeky piggies from going through it!
