my guinea pig has been sick for a while i thought it was something that would pass and she would get over ti cause her eyes started to rly water one day but I was wrong and she had tumors that where to small to notice a few months back till now and I know she wont make it through surgery she will never wake up from the anesthesia and this past weekend I gave her 3 water bottles cause lately she has been drinking a lot of water and i assumed her kidneys where shutting down and all and I was going to come home to a dead pig. I was wrong on that but she is doing even worse then since Friday and I am not sure if I should wait a week or two and if she dont get better with in those two weeks and have her put down or have her put down after one week. I hate having to know that I have to put her down but I know she is in pain

I am sorry your guinea pig is so ill, but if she is in pain you really need to speak to your vet again.
What has the vet recommended? I am assuming you have actually had her seen by a vet?

If you feel she is too ill to make it through the surgery, then she can at least take lots of pain relief to keep her comfortable.
Remember that you know your own pig best, and you need to be clear with the vet if you feel she isn't comfortable.
And if he really does seem to be suffering, then please ask your vet to help ease her passing.

It is such a difficult time, and I wish you all the best.

I'm sorry she is so poorly. I would go back to the vet as soon as you can and discuss your options. As Swissgreys has said you need to make sure she has adequate pain relief. Is she eating ok?

If you and the vet both agree that she is shutting down it would be kinder to have her pts, as hard as that decision is to make.

I agree with what the previous posters have said.

She is eating fine and doing fine today it seems like she is having bad days and good days n her bad days seem to be more frequent then her good days and when she has a good day she doesnt seem to be hurting its only when she has a bad day

Can you speak to your vets re. pain relief to make the bad days easier on her?
