so, my piggies got a very very bad case of fleas 8... but any way i thought they were mites so they all went to the vets.. now berry has ALWAYS been a bit smaller then the others but i didnt think any thing of it because she didnt look that much smaller.. the vet weighed them today and shes only 1lb! :{ all my other pigs are over 2lbs? i know shes full grown as i have had her for about 1 year and she was bigger then the other ones at the time (others were younger)

if it matters any I'm not sure what breed she is.. and i do know she does have health issues.. (blind, and diabetic [not 100% sure on it but pretty good chance she is])

What did the vet say? Was the vet concerned about her weight?

I have a piggy that is just about a 1lb (just over!). Shes at least 2 year old (can't be sure as she was dumped at the vets, and passed on to me by a friend who used to breed piggies). My Pollyanna doesn't seem to have any health concerns, infact shes the most fiesty of all my piggies. And a bully with it!

Thanks! I myself didn't go to the vets, my step faather and sister went (I couldn't cause of school) my step dad didn't say anything about the vet saying anything :S

There is a wide range of normal weights. One of my pigs, Frenzy, never was more that a pound and a couple of ounces. She was just tiny, always was! She didn't live a long life, but it had nothing to do with her weight. Just like people, some are big-boned and some are not! I would weigh regularly just to make sure there is no weight loss, but that's generally just a good idea regardless of starting weight!

I have a tiny just over 3 year old pig, (ironically called minnie) she has never exceeded 900 grams, she is just diddy.
