About a month and a half ago Dumbledore (boar who is about 1.5 years old) was on banana antibiotics for a uri for 2 weeks which cleared up lovely. About a week later we tried to bond him with a younger piggle which didn’t work as neither of them would back down and they took a small chunk out of each other which healed up fine.
Ever since the failed bonding session Dumbledore really smells. I’ve tried washing his bum but that doesn’t help. I can smell him from the next room(it smells of horse manure) the only thing different he has eaten is a change in brand of hay.
He doesn’t squeak when peeing or pooping and everything looks normal.
Can anyone give any advice?

Have you checked inside the anal sac and the mouth?

Personally I would strongly recommend to have him checked through by a vet for food stuck in his mouth, oral thrush or dental overgrowth; sperm rods, impaction or a fungal infection in his anal sac. I would also ask the vet to check the whole body for an abscessed bite.

He has had 2 health checks in the past 2 months but I’m a bit scared to take him again as the closest vet that’s good with guinea pigs is about an hours drive and he gets distressed in the car.
I can’t find anything so looks like I’m going to have to.
I’ve checked him bum and bits, his whole body for marks& lumps, his teeth are fine. It smells a little bit stronger round his bum area but I think it’s his wee.

Could it be his cage? 2 of my boys are in a smaller cage then my other 2 and their cage gets stinkier much quicker. Their cage smells very poopy if they're not given a full change every few days.

He is in a 5x2 C&c cage so plenty of room. I spot clean daily and change fleece and underneath bits every 3 days. So it’s not the cage. I’m going to try a different washing detergent tomorrow just in case!
