hi guys not been on for a while but I'm worried about one of my pigs, Ted has started acting very strangely, throwing himself around his cage and running around as though something is chasing him, i moved the cages around on sunday and this started today, hes totally fine when you have him out on your lap/sofa. i moved the cages back to how they were and he was still going mad, i have swopped cages with my other boar and he seems to have calmed down alot, not sure if its the smell of my other boar? he is still not right though, i put some veg in for him and he was rooted to the spot, i had to move it so it was right under his nose before he would eat. :(

has anyone else ever experienced this?

He's not doing laps is he? These are high speed laps of the cage a quick stop and start again?

When you swopped cages have you cleaned them really well to get your other boys smell off?
Also I know this will sound strange but our old hamster Clint Eastwood, used to go berserk after a cage clean if she could smell any disinfectant at all, we used to have to rinse everything many times...
Hoping someone may be able to shed some more light on it for you.

just swapped the pigs straight over before he injured himself, the scent of my other boy seemed to calm him down, he hasn't gone mad since i swapped cages but is still very wary/nervous
