Ok, if anyone has any accurate information it would be ever so helpful!

My 4month old guinea pig has probably been sneezing since the time she was about 2 and a half months. I took her to the vet probably when she was 3 months, and the vet (who specialisesnin small animals) said her breathing was fine, listened to her heart/,breathing. And said it is most probably because she has something up her noise and us trying to get it out, just like humans. My girl has no discharge, no sniffles.

But yesterday, I adopted a friend for my girl, and the breeder came to my house to drop the new girl off, she heard Abi sneeze and said "oh be careful that probably means a bad heart" she hasn't been a registered breeder for long, and got her information from a website, possibly not credible. I have found another vet, and i am sking abi to him in a a fortnight, but just need some peace of mind in the mean time?

Also, is it safe that I have put the new little one in with the sneezing one? They are getting on famously and other than the sneezing every now and then Abi seems really healthy? But now I have noticed a sneeze maybe twice throughout the day/ night from the newbie.

Please help, very worried.

bedding

Just for information sake, there hay is kept in a little hay bucket for them, their bedding is fleece blankets, their food/ toileting area is covered in newspaper, but there is a litter which they use so well, and I change the newspaper every time it is a tiny bit damp, so they don't ever have to walk on wet newspaper.

When you get a new piggie it's a good idea to quarantine them (let them live alone ) for a couple of weeks before introducing them. You may have to take both of them to the vet now. If the new one is sneezing I'd definitley get them both checked out.

I already have an appointment at the vet, on the 31st of october, but just wanted some insight into what it could potentially be.

would it help if I took the new one out now? would that stop her sneezing, or too late?
