I finally got round to getting some, only a small bit upstairs for the guys to try it and I was shocked how much they love vet bed (pepper got some too and she loves it too).

They go up there and sleep, they stretch out and settle down, they look so cute x)

the best one is crystal who will run up there when I have just cleaned them out and replaced the old one for new, and she flopps down on one side, snuggles her face down and closes her eyes - and I havent finished putting the pen back together at this point so still moving around and still making noise. Its like she is saying "ahhh, this is lush mum" and then after a little snuggle she will get up and get her veg :))

I just have to get more now its been given the approval from my guys.

I swear by the stuff - a lot of it as we have 16 piggies atm :))
Ebay have some decent suppliers so shop around a bit. I like the green backed bedding but the rubber backed is easier to get into the washer as most of our pieces are cut into 4-6ft lengths :))
These are the suppliers I use, all excellent:

I have some, brand new if you want it?

Fairly big bit too, it's still in the wrapping, I think its maybe 100cm x 150cm?

I think it's navy with paw prints.

My girls had it and seemed to like it but I didn't find it worked very well at keeping the cage dry. It hasn't gone to waste though as my puppy has it in his crate.

Don't be silly, it's sitting in my bedroom unused, and I keep falling over it, you'll be doing me a favour, and you ARE doing me a favour on Monday! I'll chuck it in the car on Monday.

ETA: Tomorrow :))

Edit again: I'm so going to forget!

What edge does it leave when you cut a piece of vet bed? Does it fray?

No, the cut edge doesn't fray, you can cut it any size and shape you like! I find it works well to keep the piggies dry and comfy, but little bits of hay and poo get stuck in the pile and you need to give it a darn good brush before washing. Mine shrank slightly, but then I did wash it at 60 degrees and tumble it rolleyes

How do you guys fit the vetbed in the washing machine? I have a couple of little pads I use for lap pads and they fit in easy enough but I can't imagine cramming a whole cage's worth in.
My piggies are in 3x3 cages. Would I need to cut the vetbed into strips and wash in batches?

I can just about squish a 4' x 4' piece of vet bed into an extra large (8kg load) washing machine. It would probably be easier to cut it into strips.
