I think it was £28 consultation fee last time I took a guinea pig. Obviously drugs/meds are on top of that.
Do you have a poorly guinea pig?

I just paid around £20 for 2 but she said she only charged me for one. She helped with cutting off Spurs, checking teeth, bums, weight etc. must ad that she is totally gp savvy and loves them so much she's a kind vet. Not like some of the money grabbers. She owns pigs and rabbits herself which is always reassuring.

Just came back to say that some vets near me have special "piggy clinics" where you can take your guinea pig for a free "health check" where they advise on teeth/nails/weight etc.
It depends what you want to go for....

Depends if your seeing a normal vet or a specialist, normal fee for me is £30 and specialist is £38. Treatment is then more, they're not cheap animals! :)

Thank you for all of the help! Just wanted to get a rough idea, none of them appear to be ill. I just want too get them checked to be on the safe side :yahoo:

if you are just looking for a general health check for healthy pigs then look around and see if any of the vets are doing free or discounted piggy clinics. The vets most local to me (which i dont actually use!) is always putting up signs to say "This month is Rabbit and Guinea Pig Month" and to bring your pet in for a free health check, or its "Dental Month" for free teeth checks etc etc.

Mine charges £15.50 I think for just consultation. That said I seem to pay less for everything on here and that probably explains why there is such a high turn over of staff at my vets and why they can't keep the good vets

Our vets is just a standard £25 consultation fee for any animal. I think it just depends on where you go

My vets consultation charge depends on what the animal is. They charged me £7.20 for consultation but then i had to pay extra for treatment

My vets is £10.50 for 2 piggies but my first visit was free and I got a big bag of free hay that would be £6 at pets at home!
