I took one of my pigs into the vet today as he's not feeling well and the vet asked what I feed my pigs. I told him hay pellets and vegetables, he told me I shouldn't be giving my pigs vegetables as it can give them bad diarrhea which can lead to death. He didn't mean specifically my sick pig he meant all pigs overall and this confused me because I've always given my pigs vegetables daily since they need their vitamin c. Would you call bullshit on this vets information or is he correct, I'm slightly confused.

Piggies def need veg every day as well as hay and pellets. I would see if you can find a piggy savvy vet. Whereabouts are you located? Here is the list of forum recommended vets in the UK who have been recommended by members who have had a good experience so you know that you and your piggy will be in safe hands.

Diet Guides

Most piggies love their veggies. Mine would riot if they didn’t get theirs each day.
Too much will upset their tummies but fed in moderation they are essential for a healthy piggy.
@Betsy has given you the link to the diet guides which are very helpful
