Hi guys,

We are taking in our guinea pigs to our new vets this Friday as the vets we have originally signed up with have been taken over by a vet group that I highly disagree with, they are the old school con men of the vet world who will bleed clients dry of their money. We want the new vets to have a check over just for peace of mind that the new vets are familiar with our boys

Since our last checkup where everything was fine, the piggies have grown in size, we used the original carry case that we got when we bought them as they were small enough.

I have bought a plastic travel case that looks fairly good but might be too small to carry both the piggies, so I bought a spare one. However I have been told it's best not to split the piggies up for travel, would I be best getting a bigger one (if possible) or is it ok to have the piggies split up for travel purposes. I don't want them being cramped in one box and fighting over lack of space etc but also don't want to separate them and cause anxiety or stress

They should be kept together. If they both fit they will most likely huddle together anyway.

Best to always keep them together.

If the carrier you have is too small, then best to buy another one
I use a normal cat carrier

What sizes are your cat carriers.

The one I have is 30 x 22 x 22. It's not "small" and would probably fit them both but comfort is my main priority so a bit bigger would be better and ultimately safer I think
