I’m looking for some pointers please as to what you think is the best way to manage a vet visit with my new trio. I’m wondering whether to travel the 2 girls together and Selwyn separately, or for them all to travel together. As they’ve only been living together for about 3 weeks I don’t really want to separate them to travel as it’s an hour’s travel there and another back, but if I did choose that option, in my mind being the safer one at this early stage, would it be ok to just pop them all straight back together afterwards? Appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks Claire, agree it’d be ideal, just not sure if my nerves would be ok!

I'd keep them together if you can 🥰 I've always taken trios together but quads and up just taken one paw holding companion with whoever needed the vet 💓

Thanks all ❤️
I know how you feel. My last pair Percy and Pepper would always travel in the same cat box but both had their own individual pigloo in it. I just didn’t trust them 100% not to have a scuffle. (They never ever had a fight but I just had a bad feeling about the close proximity of a cat box). But Pebble and Patrick go together. So I would say do what feels right. You know them.

I’m just a bit nervous because it’s still early days for them and should a scuffle happen there’s nowhere for any pig to get away and nothing I can do whilst driving. On the positive side I haven’t seen any scuffles since day 1 or 2, but they have space to remove themselves if they need to.

I took them today and they all travelled together. There was a lot of movement and some vocalisation but they all got through it ok. At one point I think all 3 had managed to get under the fleece pad inside the carrier. The girls were being their amazing selves and showing Selwyn how to travel, but he was clearly worried about the whole thing.

I'm glad they travelled well. How did they get on at the vets? Is everybody well?
Meg is struggling with an IC flare, probably not helped by adding Selwyn, so she had another cartrophen injection. Selwyn met Ellie for the first time and had a quick once over and all 3 had a pawdicure 🙂
