Hi,

Know theres already loads of info about vetbed on here (so sorry to start a new thread! :red) but couldn't find anything which covered my question.

I have been reading about it and it something i'd like to try but I'm worried my boys might get too warm on it? Theyre kept indoors in our lounge so wondered if the vetbed would make them too hot? Have seen pics of others indoor piggies on it and wondered if anyone had had any problems?

Thanks! :)

Hi i use vetbed for my indoor piggies and they are fine, no overheating so far!

If you are a bit unsure about using it maybe just use it in the bedding section and have something else as a kitchen area (i have seen a couple of people on here doing things like that) That way they will have a paper/hay area to walk on (or whatever you prefer to use) and then a comfy vetbed to sleep on.

I have been using it for 3 weeks now and i love it, its easier, less messy and cheaper in the long run!

Hope this helps.:)

don't think it should be too warm (i have it) as you don't have your heating on all day and it is just under them so like walking on very lovely thick carpet. Also when heating is off the can snuggle down into it to be a bit warmer. Mine have sleeping bags they can sit on if a bit too hot though!

Mine are on vet bed inside and love it. In fact I give them spare pieces they use as pillows or toys and they adore it...

I used to use vetbed for all my pigs who lived inside they loved it! altough i got fed up off having to brush the poop off and getting covered in wee shaking it out lol so i went for newspaper and hay which is easier for me to clean, i gave them little squares of the vet bed to lounge around on they love anything comfy!

none of my pigs ever seemed too hot on it.
