I use fleece and its all pink..apart from a retro one...i do love it..but you need to sweep poops at least once a day...it does keep them dry and i use a pad underneath and puppy pads under the houses.

puppy pads in Home bargains for £1.99 and i shall find the link for main pad.

You put all the pads under the fleece :)

Its very easy to cut..but i would say pull all the loose fluff off before using..there is a lot of loose fluff on it.

Cocoa made me chuckle..when i put it in she kept nosing at it from the shelf then running up the ladder then coming back and looking again..it took 4 ladder runs before she took the plunge and let out a delighted squeal lol she is now sprawled out on it x)

got vetbed and really happy with it.It is better than megazorb or woodshaving.
I'm collect dropping twice a day and wash it 2-5 times a week depending on condition.
I got 2 cages 1m each for boy covered by vetbed and around 8x30cm plastic cat trays for 3 sows with it.

omg 2/5 times a week :O i was hoping to get it down to once week :{

The mattress protector will be once a week or more, you will still need to sweep poos out but thats a 5min job even in my cage

They do have a kitchen are tho i guess they pee more there but that still only needs cleaning once a week

Just got back from town, picked up 2 really big fleeces from Primark. £2.50 each! :O Will put the new boys on this as I'd already ordered the vet bed before they arrived. At least this way I can see which i prefer. Also picked up some nice thick towels to put underneath. The puppy pads are a good idea. Got plenty of them left over from when we were house training our pup. Thanks :)

Got a good buy with the fleece :) I never can get to primemark :(

I shall use both fleece and the vet bed,,while vet bed is washing i shall use my butterflie fleece ..cos i love it :)

Thought so too. I've had these same fleeces for my dogs in the past. Really big and snuggly :) Primark is a nightmare! Even on a week day it's always heaving :(

The nearest one to me is 10 miles...i did go in once and walked straight back out it was rammed.

I have been thinking about using vetbed for a while, my main problem is my piggies are proper nibblers, they chew EVERYTHING! Is the vetbed safe if they're likely to chew it? I've been worried they might eat it!

I would also have to still use it with fleece as I have to cover the correx sides because they chew those too. There are already a few holes where they've sneakily buried their way under the fleece (even with copious bulldog clips and roof tiles to hold the fleece down!).

I would like to get some though! I remember it being on offer in pets at home last time I went in there but that was a while ago and is probably still cheaper online x

Hi Starpigs :)

Well i have put the vet bed in cage but before i did i had to pull all the loose fluff of it..there was a lot of loose fluff.

Tbh i don't think i would use it if mine were chewers..as its quite thick.

Here is a pic...

Thanks for the mattress protector idea 4piggiepigs..it really seems to be working :)

Was it quite easy to cut? I'll need to try and cut a stair hole hmm.
I've totally given up on the fleece idea, tried it for 2 days but it just doesn't suit these pigs. Will give the vet bed a go, my dogs are currently sprawled out on a piece as I bought 4 :) If that fails with the pigs I'm sure the dogs won't turn it down, especially as my Lexi had an op yesterday....

Awww i hope Lexi feels better soon..biggest hugs x)

Yes its very easy to cut :)

No just scissors.

To cut the hole for ramp i placed it in cage and just felt where hole began and started to cut feeling as i went along.
