Hi everyone, is the list of recommended vets up to date? I'm in North Wales, and from the list, the closest would be Birch Heath in Tarporley. I'm not in need of a vet at the moment, but just want to make sure I have a plan in place for if/when my girl's may need one. I'm currently registered with a good local vet for previous non-guinea pig pets, but wondered if anywhere new had opened up in North Wales or Chester area recently with exotica knowledge.
Thank you :-)

We used to go to Birch Heath for emergency. The vets there are really good. But being an exotic vets, they are quite expensive, so we only go there if it's really really urgent.

Another one is Cheshire Pets at Holmes Chapel . Although at the moment, their new exotic vet (name is supposed to be Christian, but not the current Christian on their website) would be starting at the end of January. We used to see Kristina Hunter there but she moved to Exeter to train to become a specialist in rodents. There is another exotic vet there, Emily Hardacre, but she is currently on maternity leave until July, I think.

Apart from that, we usually go to Cat & Rabbit Care Clinic in Northampton. Kim and Simon Maddock are very knowledgeable with guinea pigs and we trust them completely with our piggies.
