Hello to all fur baby lovers
I have just joined the forum and wonder if anyone out there can recommend a piggie wise vet in the Essex area who they they have a good experience with. For non-urgent appointments I always go to Vedra at the CCT, she is excellent, but on the occasions I need to get somewhere fast (The CCT is 85 miles from me) it would be great to have a trusted vet I can take my piggies to. I have used a couple of vets in the Romford area, which I won't be using again. I lost one of my piggies, Molly, on Friday. I noticed in the morning that one side of her abdomen was very bloated and when I picked her up she squeaked in pain. I rushed her to a local vet who x-rayed her and told me that she had a large ovarian cyst and that she had seen nothing like it before. She very sadly died a short while after the x-ray was taken. I asked them if I could have the x-ray, something they were very reluctant to do, as I wanted to show it to Vedra at the CCT. She took one look at it and said that Molly had had gastric bloat and there were no ovarian cysts in sight! The vet charged nearly £149 and come up with the wrong diagnosis
I asked Vedra if she had a list of vets she could recommend and she said that she didn't have one as they were very few and far between so any you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.
