Off to the vets today =/
Rocky has a swollen toe so not too sure what the vets gonna suggest

piglet is going for a check up after having 2 weeks of antibiotics for an ear infection there is still a chance he will have to have an operation (poor boy has not co-ordination whatsoever) malletheadmalletheadmallethead

well the results are in....
Piglet is now no longer on meds (yay) we now have to wait to see if he can adapt to having his sense of balance skewed if he can great if he can't my not be too bad if he gets worse then consider having him PTS :(

Rocky snapped of toenail now on baytril if that doesnt cure it then he'll have to have it amputated :( (how much does that cost?)
poor oh and he got his own back for being manhandled by biting the vet (thanks for embarissing me rocky!)

Sorry to hear about your poorly pigs.I don't know Piglets story, they do generally adapt though so don't feel too down just yet, he might even suprise you.

I've not had a toe taken off a pig so cant say how much it will cost but your vet should give you a quote. It sounds worse than it is and he probably won't even realise it's gone if it has to come off.

hi there, my squeek had a ear infection, and vets said theres no more he can do for her, after having injection and oral antibiotics for 3 weeks and inti-inflammatorys, the infection is now gone but she still has a slight head wobble and occasional wobble on her legs.

i am very suprised how well she has adapted to having this, vet said she might have it forever, yet one day i might wake to find it completely gone, only time will tell :)

fingers crossed :)
