i noticed this morning that Joey had been drooling loads throughout the night he was soaked in it litrally so i rung the vets the second they opened and got him down at 11am the first thing they did was look in his mouth and his teeth are so badly overgrown that they were sitting on top of his tongue, i was given 2 options 1) have him pts or 2) emergancy dental i chose option 2 and hes being operated on now poor boy :'( I'm upset because when i noticed he was under weight a couple of months ago i took him to the vets where they said his teeth were fine so i never thought much of it i put it down to the fact he was lonely and bonded him with Roo.

please send vibes to Joey :(
 
Oh poor little love, I really hope he is ok - sounds like he got to the vets just in time, let's hope they can sort him out. Sending healing thoughts your way! Let us know how it goes

sending joey and yourself hugs, prayers and good vibes. i am so :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff: with vets that give wrong information, the animals i have lost due to bad medical advice, i know vets are human and we make mistakes but if a doctor made a mistake they'd be struck off and jailed. sorry after losing gypsy our cat vets and bad advice is a touchy subject for me :'( :'( :'( really hoping joey pulls through, sending you cyber hugs and to joey. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: girls send :-* :-* :-*

i just cant believe ive lost 2 guinea pigs in the space of a day :'( :'( and i really cant believe ive lost Joey he was my little man loved him so much :'( he was the reason i got another guinea pig as i had a bad experience with guinea pigs a few years ago and vowed i wouldnt get another one then Joey came along :'( my heart is breaking it truelly is :'(

i have decided though no more guinea pigs for me :'( going to concentrate on my rabbits and give them the best possible life.
 
So sorry, I was just wondering how he was getting on - what tragic news, poor little guy. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
