Hi everyone,

My little boy, Ping, is getting neutered today and I'm nervous! Can he have some positive vibes that everything will go well and he'll heal quickly?

Lou-Lou May is the other pig, who is black/white. She is pregnant from the petshop, hence why they are together in that pic, the "damage" is already done. When he comes home today he'll be kept apart from her as I don't want her to get pregnant again, as she will come into heat an hour after having her babies.
 
Lots of good vibes from my girls to Ping - and also to Lou Lou May in her pregnancy. I hope everything goes really well with no difficulties anywhere.

Hi all,

Thanks so much for the vibes! I'm so nervous right now. They said to call around noon to see how his surgery went. Its 10:30am right now, its hard to wait. The vet said he'll be coming home with pain meds and antibiotics. She also said Ping needs to stay apart from Lou-Lou for 2 months. That seems like a really long time to me....

Hi! I heard from the vets everything went well and we're picking him up at 5:15pm today. I'm anxious to have him back home. I'm so relieved he did fine and now I'm just going to be worried he'll get an abcess but hopefully he won't and he'll heal up quickly.

Hopefully he won't be too disappointed that I've divided his cage with Lou-Lou. It's probably better for him to be on his own for awhile to heal properly and I can monitor his food and water intake easier.

Glad he is doing good. Hope he heals up fine and that all goes well with the babies.
 
Worried now - He's not eating

Ping is home now and he feebly did the rumblestrut thru the bars at Lou-Lou. The Vet said he hadn't eaten yet. So I gave him clover and dandelions, his fav, and he doesn't want it. I'm worried as this means he hasn't eaten almost all day. The Vet gave me some critical care to give him later if he still doesn't eat.

He is so sleepy and doped up. He was neutered around noon and its almost 6pm. Should he still be this sleepy? When should he perk up? And is it normal not to be eating?

I'm so worried!
