is vinegar suitable to use with guineapigs? ie putting in the washing machine with fleece products (if anyone has experience; how much should you use and is this along side non bio powder?)
also can i use vinegar to remove limescale from my girls brita filter? its started building up and feel it needs a good clean!
i have ‘eco white vinegar’ available but wasn’t sure if its suitable?

I put white vinegar in the fabric conditioner compartment and use it diluted for cleaning.

I use white vinegar in the conditioner bit of the detergent drawer for the final rinse when I put the fleeces in to wash.

I use white vinegar in the conditioner drawer too - I put about 2 teaspoons in
It helps the fleece ‘wick’ and has disinfectant properties
It’s safe for piggies

Vinegar is perfect for cleaning all things piggy related. It is non toxic to guinea pigs and is a mild disinfectant. It is great at getting rid of the soapy residue after washing fabric and also makes fleece softer. Vinegar also gets rid of smells quite effectively, just be sure not to overuse it. Especially if you have boars, they won't like it if too much of their sent is removed from their cage.

I use white vinegar to clean my cages down and have for years. It's non-toxic and kills odors. I don't use it in the washing machine because I've heard that it can degrade rubber or plastic components over time and I would rather nurse my ancient washing machine along a few more years if possible!
