I've had conflicting information about putting vit C powder in the water bottles.
Should I shouldn't I? They are nearly 10 weeks old, had them nearly 2 weeks and they won't eat any veg other then leafy stuff. Plenty of hay and few nuggets Every day. Oh and usually an hours worth of grass munching

If they're eating vitamin c rich veggies, they don't need any supplemented , I would only ever consider giving to an ill piggy

I decided against adding stuff to their water as I have heard that some guineas don't like the taste and then don't drink the water. Mine are good at eating veggies though.

Adding vitamin c to water is a waste of time as the vitamins potency quickly reduces once made up.

Red/green/yellow Pepper is the best thing for providing vitamin c. Failing that you can try broccoli, spinach, kale and other cabages but be careful not to overdo them.

They also get vit c from their guinea pig pellets, so i wouldnt worry too much x

Vitamin c is unstable in water and degrades in direct light, meaning that adding it into water bottles is basically useless I'm afraid.

Providing your feeding vitamin c rich vegetables and some pellets then personally I wouldn't bother. If your worried then crush some vitamin c tablets and sprinkle onto food for a little extra.

My Guinea Pig Gleb, who sadly passed away last month, suffered from Meningitis and the vet gave us Vitamin C along with his antibiotics to put in their drink and apparently it tastes really nice and sugary to the Guinea Pigs and it supplies them with an added boost to their system.
