Vitamin C supplements-any advice?

Just wanted to ask a question about vitamin C supplements that you can put into piggies water. I've heard mixed views on this-some people saying thats it's good and others not. Is it safe for piggies? Also does anyone else here use it? I give my pigs plenty of food with Vit C in so I'm not worried about them not getting enough, was just curious about this particular thing. Any input would be greatly appreciated :) :) :)
 
iv heard that its not good as it could put piggies off their water and also you dont know how much their getting :)
 
Right I see, I know its a dark yellow colour which can't be too nice ?
 
Never put any medication or supplements into drinking water,it is too hit and miss.Give by syringe so that you know how much the piggy has had,and at what time.(important with meds).

Vitimin c supplementation is only necessary when the piggy is unwell or cannot eat normally.

They should get all their vits from a varied diet of hay,grass and veggies.
