hi i am a newbie at at keeping ginea pigs and need some advice if possible, i have been told by a couple of people that i can use childrens vit c tabets to supplement my boys intake and make sure they get the right amount daily is this right as i dont want to make my boys poorly?

If you give them guinea pig nuggets they get a bit of vitamin c from them.

They can get all the vitamin C they need from vegetables. Peppers, coriander, kale and broccoli are some of the high vitamin c veggies. You have to be careful with kale and broccoli (they can't have too much) but most guinea pigs love peppers and coriander. :)

If they eat a lot of veggies they won't need any supplements and they will probably enjoy the veggies more than a tablet.

If the hospital feels he needs Vit C , I'm sure they'll advise you.
