I know that some people use vitamin C tablets but I'm not sure if they are necessary.
My piggies get a bowl of vegetables every night and I've had them for about 2 years and they seem perfectly fine, the vet said they are healthy, but would adding vitamin C tablets improve their diet?

I'm thinking about the oxbow hay ones. They are quite expensive so I don't want to get them for no reason. :)

Personally I wouldn't bother. There is potentially some linking to too much vitamin c and calcium build up within the bladder. But I need to do more research Into this to be certain. If your giving fresh veg then they will be getting plenty of vitamins. And pellets for example have an average piggies (1kg) daily requirements of vitamin c in around 12g of food (only half a handful).

So personally no, I see no reason to add more, but it's all opinion really.
