Vitamins?

I have 3 baby sows, they're all around 2 months now, and i feed them unlimited hay and water and then twice a day I give them their alfalfa pellets and a small side of veggies every other day. They sleep alot during the day so I'm not sure if anything's "unusual" with then but they're very lively at night. Anyway I was reading an article about how guinea pigs dont create their own vitamin C and that could cause things like scurvy, but when I got my guinea pigs, the pet store said I shouldn't feed them anything other than hay and pellets. I was wondering if that was true or if i was supposed to be giving them vitamin C supplements all along?

Overall you are definitely on the right track, but sadly the pet shop is wrong when they told you not to feed fresh veggies daily.
These are a small, but important part of a balanced guinea pig diet.

Yes, just some veg everyday that is rich in vitamin C.

Most piggy pellets also contain some vit C. Where’s rabbit pellets for example do not.
