Now I know Guineas shouldn't be able to vomit but mine did while under anaesthetic just before he was neutered today. Obviously they stopped and he still has his testicles intact but now they are worried some of the stomach content may have gone to his lungs. They are keeping a close eye on him and given antibiotics but I wondered if anyone else has any experience of this?!?!
Now they have advised he shouldn't go under anaesthetic again which also means he can not have a girlfriend anytime soon.
Do two boars have a chance of bonding? He is 18 months old so just coming out of his teens and I would say hormones are settling.

I am hopefully collecting Nibbles this evening and will be giving him lots of love. The boy scared the life out of me when the vet said that! Only my guinea pig could vomiting!

I completely agree with Claire.
A successful bond is down to character compatibility so it’s a case of finding the right boar for him and doing so via boar dating at a rescue centre is the best and safest way.
The key thing with a boar pair (after character compatibility) is space. Ensure their cage is big enough - they need 180cm x 60cm

Definitely will look at boar dating at a rescue. We are looking at bigger cage set ups so the size should not be a problem.
Thank you for your advice
