Anyone who has seen my other thread will know I am trying to create a purple and pink palace for my girls Ginny and Saffy.

So far I have girlie pink towels with either pink, purple or lilac fleece on top. I have a gorgeous pink gingham with purple flower fleece inside on order from Laura and am about to order a sleeping sack that's pink flowered outside with hot pink fleece inside, from youth novels.

I still don't think it will look pretty, girlie and palacey enough so my attention has turned to the plain, boring, orangey wood walls of their bedroom area. I'd really appreciate input from all of you so would ask you to please vote on my ideas to date.

1) Stick up pink/purple fleece on walls, may help keep hutch warm
2) Stick up pink/purple wrapping paper
3) Paint the walls
4) Other suggestion, please specify
5) Leave as is you're going over the top now!

Thanks everyone
Gemma,Ginny and Saffy

Hmm...if you stick fleece to the walls, it's going to be awfully hard to clean (and will get stinky!), paper would get stained (I know my boys always spray cucumber and tomato juice up the walls!), and painting would require you to leave the hutch away from piggies for some time for the odour to fade (possibly a week, that sort of paint can really smell and I'd imagine is bad for their lungs). I can only suggest a coloured lino? It would be easy to clean, and brighten the place up...I don't know if you would find pink or purple, though?

I was thinking along the same lines as 2280CLAIRE, with lino attached to the walls so its wipeable. I know you can get it in allsorts of shades and patterns this days :)

They are great ideas, thank you! I hadn't thought of anything like Fablon or lino but it makes a lot of sense :)) My local Wilko does Fablon so worth investigating what colours they have, and cost as well!
