Can we have this as a review please?!

I got some today and wondered what others thought of it. i had to get it because i ran out of P@H pellets and don't have to much money at the moment. It was only £2.17 for 2kg

i started a thread for this ages ago but its been pushed out i think.

this is what my boys ate before i tried to convert them to pellets, and will be going back onto it this week as they refuse to eat pellets, and prefer this.

i pay £2.09 from asda for it

Arghh Lez, mine are doing the same.
I had been buying Burgess Excel and now Austin, Nellie, Rocky and Toffee are refusing to eat it :-\
It's now back to Wagg.

My Honey eats Wagg Crunch and she loves it. When she came to me that is what she had eaten before so i kept her on it. She lives with Trinny and Susannah who eat another brand and she still only eats her Wagg so it must taste good.

Not sure on Nutritional content as i empty the bag into a storage container and i cant remember the figures.

i read on pampered piggies that the pea flake things arent good for them in large doses, and this food has loads in, which is why i tried to switch, but theyre having none of it ;D so its back to the wagg crunch! they really love the stuff

I just never gave in when changing them over to pellets mine all eat excell no waste ;) I do buy the odd bag of muslie though and put a small amount in thier bowls the excell always gets eaten first by most of them although Blossom and Treacle seem to love muslie as much as pellets :)

but mine are refusing to the point where theyre losing weight, so ive given in and am swapping them back :-\

yeah , i noticed that there are alot of pea flakes in. See how this food goes, if they dot like it or they are leaving some they will go back over to the nuggets..

The boys only eat wagg on the odd occassion, they prefer burgess or p@h núggets no matter how hard I try lol.
The rest of mine usually eat the wag Basil was fed on gerty and this was recommended to me by the rspca ::) but I will not purchase this he will have to eat the wag or pellets.

Wouldn't it be best to just keep them on the nuggets? If piggies will eat them, pellets/nuggets are much better for them than a mix. It sounds to me like your piggies like the nuggets so why bother changing onto a food which is less healthy? ;)

Don't give in Lez! I remember you saying they ate the pellets when it was mixed with the Wagg Guinea crunch so just do this for a while and then after a few weeks start to slowly reduce the mix.Just make the transition more slowly. O0

Aww bless those boys ;D :smitten:

Mine tend to pick at this and there is always seeds etc left at the bottom, but they do that with any flake, so like a few of you i tried to convert to excel, but they just wont touch it, its been a full bowl for the day, and my Guineas, do not leave a full bowl, they might pick but they still eat. back to the flake i think?

ive tried before with other pellets and they did the exact same thing. even with a longer change over.

they dont eat it properly when its mixed in, the eat the crunch first, then pick at the pellets. whereas now they are just refusing to eat until i fetch the crunch back

i give my boys wagg crunch, sometimes i will give them burgess nuggets but they dont seem to keen on them ::) :)

I can't give the girls any kind of musli because they pull out all the bits they don't like and chow down all the seeds and peas. But Wagg looks like good value.
