On looking for different brands of nuggets, and the best price I can get for them (believe it or not I figure out £/kg to find out the cheapest) I found what I believe is an absolute bargain...

http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/wagg-optimum-guinea-pig-10kg_1_49164.html

£9.99 for a 10kg bag. If you spend over £40 delivery is free, if you spend under £40 it's only £2.95... even with delivery added its a couple of pounds cheaper than the next cheapest I've found.

I thought it'd help those who run rescues to save themselves a couple of quid to put towards other needs. Hope I've helped.

Donna. x

I found this too, after the price for 10kg Science Selective leapt up to £27 (!) I went looking for cheaper ones and found Wagg to be not only a good quality pellet (by UK standards) but great value too. :)

That IS a bargain! I realised recently that I could buy the 2.5kg bags x4 from Asda for less than what I was paying online, so I went the other day and cleared them out :)) But this would still work out cheaper! Thanks for the link x

Thank you for this link! I'm looking to change my guinea-pigs food onto a pellet type food and this looks food looks great.

Very good value is WAGG. The piggies here love it. Also if you keep an eye out in Jollys they sometimes have great offers on this. I have bought 20kg of it before for £12 when it has been on offer.

Thanks for that Layla, I'll have to send Steve who I work with to have a look, its a bit far for me to travel just in case they don't have it cheaper. x

Thanks for the tip!

Does anyone know the calcium content in these Wagg nuggets please? I can't seem to find any mention of calcium so if anyone has a packet handy and could check, I'd be very grateful thanks! :)

Sorry I posted this reply in the other WAGG optimum thread but here it is:

I sent an email asking what the calcium levels were and this is the reply I received:

Dear Donna

Thank you for your enquiry. The calcium content in our Optimum Guinea Pig food is approximately 0.6%. If you have any further queries about our products, please contact us again.

Kind regards
