I bought a bag of Wagg Optimum yesterday.
Have any other members tried this?

I was surprised how small the pellets were and because I mixed this with my usual guinea pig food, I am a little unsure what my piggies think of it yet.

Any opinions on it? Or if it is been discussed already on another thread, a link to that would be really appreciated! :)

Lmao:(|)
I actually have eaten piggy dried food") Not once either!:red:red:red

I would like to know about this too. It was on offer, and i didnt buy it because i didnt know what i would be like.

My piggies won't touch any pelleted food but this is the one i buy when i have to syringe feed as it mushes up quickly :)

I have used the Wagg Optimum Rabbit pellets and they are good..the rabbits loved them.
I think this range is aimed to compete with other quslity brands..so the piggie one should be high standard too

i like it! and the pigs and buns do too, they like the small pellets actually, much more pig friendly sized i think

My piggies all absolutely LOVE the Wagg Optimum Pellets! :) They are doing really well on it, too. :)

hi is this the stuff in an orange packet you can get from p@h if so the pigs didnt like it! think it is the only thing i have tried them with that they did not like !

No, they don't carry Wagg at Pets at Home (at least not at any that I have seen.) Excel GP food does come in an orange bag, and they sell it at Pets @ Home. The Wagg pellets come in a reddish burgundy coloured bag. I have only ever been able to find them at Jollyes. Hope that helps at least a bit! :)

I got some free samples of this before and my pigs loved it :) They prefer their Supa Guinea Excel but they still enjoyed this.

I have been putting a small handful in their bowls with their other dried mix and I haven't found any of it pushed out the bowl ... but I still unsure what they think of it yet. The jury is still out! :))

I was surprised that it was such small pellets but I am in the process of trying not to buy Gertie mix again after the bad reviews. And Gertie has got really expensive too!

I only mixed mine in for 3 days then just swapped it over completely. I think they have stronger stomachs than we think when it comes to dried food, its the veg that upsets them most i think! x

Some of my piggies like it and the Scratch and Newton one (fromP@H) . The Wagg one is also at Asda

All my piggies (all 18 of them) have been on the optimum pellets for at least the last couple of years and they do amazingly well on it, it is the best food I have ever found for them ;). When I was running the rescue all the rescue pigs took to it really well.

I have never had one refuse it, either......every one of them LOVES it! :) They seem to be doing really well on it, too. My only complaint is that I can't find bigger bags of it anywhere. Does anyone know if they even do bags larger than 2.5 kgs?? :{

it was on special off through sainsburys so i tried it once, i've gone to burgess supa excel now as mine left the dark bits!
