I feed my guineas Burgess Supa Guinea Excel (the one in the bright orange bag) but I've just bought a bag of Wagg Optimum (dark red bag). It's much cheaper. Is it any good?

I haven't tried them on it yet, but my pigs defo prefer nuggets to dried peas and corn so thought I'd give it a go. These Wagg Optimum nuggets are teeny tiny compared to the Burgess Supa Excel.

Mine won't eat it or any pellet for that matter but it is excellent for syringing if they are ill as it mushes up almost as soon as hot water hits it :)

Just to add ( i do wait 'til it's cooled before i give it to any piggy ;) )

my lot love it and it seems good stuff as it puts condition on the poorly rescues/fosters fairly quickly :)
How much is it for you? i have to buy it in 10kg bags

I bought a 2.5kg bag and it was about £3.50.

Don't think I'm crazy but I just bit some between my teeth to test its crunchability! It's not as hard as the Supa Excel and I wonder if it's as good for their teeth? I have a pig who suffers from overgrown molars so maybe it would be best to stick with the hardest nugget I can find?

yuck I better that tasted good :)) I have never tried it myself but was considering it as is much cheaper than the p@h stuff they are on now. Let us know the verdict!

Yum Yum it was tasty :)>>> Can't believe I actually admitted to doing it. The lengths I go to for my chubby little pigs!

Will see how they do on it.

my three eat pretty much any brand of pig food, lol
this is what i'm using atm and it's munched up fast enough :)p

I'm using that one too and Carmina has recovered nicely from her spaying op while eating it. She hasn't put on weight while healing up - but she hasn't lost any either and the Wagg nuggets go down a treat!

Mine did seem to like it but the pellets were very small and it didn't get the total "thumbs up"! :))

All my lot are now on Science Selective purple bag only now after a long transition period ... absolutely no waste. They love it!

Mine love it, I brought 5 bags the other month when Tesco was selling it for £1.50 a bag. The only trouble is they where only selling it that cheap as they arent getting it any more.
