I have tried all sorts of foods for my piggies but they absolutely love Wagg. They eat every bit of it. I have tried all the expensive ones and they have been on Wagg now for over a year and I give it 5 stars. The shop I normally buy from could not get a delivery before christmas so had to resort to pets at home musliu which they hated.

mine are on wagg too, i buy it from asda, but they sell it at wilkinsons too :)

both wagg piggy crunch and wagg optimum are good, but mine dont like the optimum

I get the 15kg sack of wagg guinea pig crunch my piggies love it. Its only £8.99 from jolleys they also sell big sacks of optimum but i havn't tried that.

I had the same thing with Three Asda stores only stocking the rabbit version. When I did eventully source some my lot did not bother with it so left them on excell ;)

I mix wagg crunch and optimum so they don't get too many peas some of mine turn their nose up at just optimum.

usually either £2.09 or £2.17 ish depending where you get it from for the wagg guinea crunch, and wagg optimum is either £2.98 or £3.98 i cant remember ::)

I have visited almost all the pet stores in my area and there is only one that sells wagg in the 15kg bag which is £10. Asda, Morrisons, Wilkinsons do sell it but it is much more economical for me to buy the 15kg bag. Lucky you who can get it for less than £10. I thought I was doing good only paying £10.

i was warned off of Wagg, as it has artificial colours that can give piggies high glucose levels

i believe its one of the better piggy foods? :o according to the ingredients on the pack compared to a guide thing someone mentioned on here a while ago.

its nowhere near as bag as gerty or some other foods ive seen. one food i tried chocked my piggy as it had small pieces of twigs in.

ive not had any problems with wagg, its cheap and the boys love it, its easy to get hold of (for me anyway)

nah the lady i got Fergie and Hamish off of said it has EC colours and they can be dangerous or something, so I'm going to use Dr.Johnsons or something....superior mix? but I'm not using Wagg

thats fine if thats your opinion, but i have a good opinion of wagg so dont intend to change :)

Wagg doesn't have colours? Gertie does, is that the one? It doesn't give high glucose levels guineas give false readings if they need a urine test and if they are prescribed Insulin as a result it can kill them.
Mr Johnsons foods are high in Protein for maintenance. Can't find anything about colours.

i thought wagg was ok too karen. i checked my packets when the other food section cropped up a while ago and it was ok when i compared it. it was certainly miles better than gerty, if it had colourings and was as bad as gerty i wouldnt feed it to mine

I have added some wagg crunch into Hamish bowl due to her dental problem she was having a bit of trouble with excell but is doing ok for now :)

Wagg is ok and as far as I know cct newsletter had some thing about it being a good one to use and not p@h as they have started to add more naughty stuff ::) ::) Gerty is a defo no no.

wagg optimum has a £1.00 in Asda at the moment, just got some while I was veg shopping.

you can get wagg in co-op where i live, but as i live on an island and we only have one large supermarket i'm not sure if you can get it in uk mainland co-op's. It's about £2.80 for a small bag here, but as everything else i over priced that probably is as well.

why is gerty a no no, it is the only food my gang will eat, like you waggs is easy to get hold of as is spillars but my girls just don't tuck into it the way they do gerty

I am worried now am i doing my pigs harm

I know what you mean, i ordered a huge sack of gertys before i came to this site and read about it being bad, and i found it to be the only food where they seem to eat everything except the brown pellet bits. I'm wondering now it's run out what would be the best to get them, especially after getting a make do bag of bob martins from the smaller shop here and finding just about all of it on the floor uneaten. I want to know whats best so i can order bulk online as thats cheaper and lasts ages but don't want to end up with a sack of unusable food because they won't eat it? Are there any which are very like gertys but without the colours?

spillars looks like gerty but without the prety shapes

Mine much prefer Mr. Johnsons Supreme Guinea - its £2 for 1.5kg at the shop in town :D
