You've probably read Cassiedogs post last night - its all big excitement here as Wallace is going on his first ever boar date this afternoon. I'm sure he knows theres something going on as his Saturday morning slave routine seems to be slightly different. I think the final straw was when we dug out the carrying box - he probably thinks hes off to the vets! Little does he know :(|) He does have us slaves well trained as we have bought a new cage for our boys and a couple of snuggle sacs.

If his date is successful both boys will come home to a new cage and set up. Using some advice gained whilst reading various threads on the forum we will be busy altering some aspects of the new cage i.e. altering the houses so that there is a throughway so that one of the boys can't get trapped by the other in a corner. Also there will be loads of home made toys to keep them occupied and I suppose it goes without saying there will be 2 of everything!

Hope we've covered all the bases but if we've forgotten anything please let us know as we are trying our best to make sure the boys are happy together.

Aww good luck Wallace, what lovely slaves you have taking you boar dating !

The cage looks great, very spacious !

Hope all goes well and you find the perfect pal for Wallace, I'm sure any pig that is lucky enough to come home with you will be very grateful (:

How exciting ! I hope everything goes to plan . Keep us all updated on how you get on . I've never needed to try " boar dating " but one day I ultimately will have to ! Good luck :)

Tiny Tim hasn't got a clue what's about to happen! lol. He's happily munching away on his breakfast this morning with his 2 other temporary cage mates (who are off to their new home tomorrow) I'm sure he will be very happy in his new home, it looks fab!

well the date was a total success! Tiny Tim has gone off to his new home with Wallace. There was some rumbling and ear nibbling (TT nibbling Wallace's ear!) but there was no signs of aggression from either piggie. They even shared a piece of lettuce!

Lovely to meet Lisa and Ali (it's so nice to meet people who share the same feelings about pigs as i do) and I hope TT settles into his new home.

Very sad letting him go, that's the first pig i've ever had to 'give up' and it was hard but at least i know he's gone off to 2 people who will love him and take care of him.
Thanks to TGPF!

We've just finished setting up the new cage for our boys - a great big thank you to Kate for allowing Tim to come home with us. He is a gorgeous wee boy who has found a new friend in Wallace (and us too!). No arguments in the box on the way home either. We are just giving them some time to settle in before asking them to pose for the family album photoshoot :))

As soon as wee saw him we knew that his name had to stay as Tim - he is definitely a Tim but we dont think he'll stay tiny for long ;)

Thanx

Lisa & Ali x

Heres a couple of quick photos we managed to snap of Wallace and Tim. I think you'll agree that they look right at home together? We'll take some more once they settle in properly.

So glad these two lovely boys have become friends. They do seem to like their new home together. I think it helps bonding when both are put in a cage neither has been in before. It worked for my two. Well done. You all seem to have gone to great lengths to ensure this success.

Where's the breakfast mum....

The boys are now having a after-breakie nap, in the same house ..... awww,

Still trying to get the " Sony photo picture award " shot 8), its going to be the one with Tim nibbling Wallace's ear and Wallace just standing there...rolleyes

Your boys are doing well! It's taken a year for my 2 to even snuggle together in the same cuddle cup. They still won't share hideys though.

We still cant believe how well the boys are getting on together - its been an absolute joy to watch them interact with each other. Although it looks like Wallace is beginning to show Tim the ropes i.e. how to beg for food when the cage is open! Tim seems to be a quick learner so we may have our hands full here.

Here is another photo of our smashing boys enjoying some r & r together. We managed to shoot a short video of them but are having difficulty uploading it onto Photobucket. We also tried to get a photo when Wallace was eating some nuggets out of a bowl and Tim decided to sit in the same bowl but Tim shot off too quickly. We will persevere and hopefully be able to share the comical scene with you all.
