My beautiful boy Walter has died unexpectedly today following complications of surgery. He was born at my house on 21st November 2013 along with his 2 brothers and sister. We lost his brother Percy when he was 6 months old, Janis died a few months ago, and now dear Walter. All so young, their mum came from a backyard breeder and was pregnant at a young age, no doubt by her dad or brother. This shows the dangers of in-breeding. They are survived by their mum Mavis and their brother Stuart. R.I.P dear Walter, you were a very special boy x
 
That's sad to read, I'm sorry for your loss. Sadly as you say it sounds like genetic problems due to in-breeding, but they had the best possible chance of health with you, and good lives with a loving human :)
Go and find your siblings sweet little Walter. x
 
I am so sorry for losing your third baby sibling - and any babies born in your home always remain that, like children. It is so hard to see a life cut short because of avoidable neglect and uncontrolled inbreeding. :(

You have given them all the best life and start into their lives that you could. Life may not have been long, but it has been happy.

RIP Walter - popcorn free and healthy again with your brother and sister!
 
Oh no, that is such sad news. His life was too short but I am sure it was a hay filled happy life with you and the Sheffield pigs. Hope you are OK.
 
Thankyou everyone, he is buried in a pot next to Janis. I managed to bond lonely Mavis, his mum, to two other sows and she seems fine now x
