Recently, I have decided that I am not satisfied with the brand of commercial feed I am offering my cavies. Therefore, I have decided to change my cavies' commercial feed.

I have been researching nearly thirty different brands of commercial feed, supposedly specifically designed for cavies. However, before I choose one of the brands I have recently researched, I would like to be informed of other brands I may wish to consider.

Naturally, I have considered the most popular and well-known commercial feeds. Therefore, I wish to be informed of the brands not so well-known, even if they are considered a poor brand of feed.

Thank you in advance.

i use sweet golden meadow its sold in a 20k bag for £11, and they love it, it is muesli but it has loads of added hay into unlike the other muesli types and none of the guineas food select with it also has vit c added...

can be brought from animal feed stores agricultural stores

Thank you for your reply, Clairelove.

I have not heard of this brand of commercial feed previously. At present, I am feeding a commercial brand of pellet. However, it is highly likely that I shall change to a commercial brand of muesli.

;)

My girls were brought up on gertie but they tend to be picky eaters, i supplement their diet with excel or science selective. They also have a locally produced product called 'blueberry warren' (mix no 2) its made with lucerne, flaked maize peas barley and wheat feed. they absolutly adore it I'm not sure if it nationally sold though.
