For the last 2 days Barbie has been what is best described I guess as WARBLING, she goes around the cage, low to the ground and warbles. My other girlie, Xionati, seems totally confused.

Any idea what this is? ?/

thanks very much for this, it sounds very much like the one described as "RUMBLE", but more continuous and for much longer.

does this mean she is in season and is trying to mate with Xionati?

No wonder Xionati is a bit confused :))

on second thoughts maybe it sounds more like the purring one rolleyes

i'm confused......

Not sure if it's different for girls, but our boys rumbles usually include bottom shaking and the head quite low, I think it can be a show of dominance too when they both face off at each and rumble until one backs down, yet the purring doesn't have much body movement and is a bit more high pitched and shorter and they only do this at veggie time for me! Hopefully someone with girlies can confirm for you :)

Maybe she is just in season and is a bit confused. She might think she is a male?! Hopefully someone has had the same experience?!
