Hi. From my experience as a pig owner (18 months) it just depends on the way a particular pig drinks. I use the living world glass bottles which are pretty good at not dripping, but i have watched my pigs drink and some get wet some don't its just their approach to drinking. As long as its warm so his chin will dry i would not worry.

My Fred had the bottle with the little pin to release the water, he would turn his head side ways and proceed to press the pin with his tongue. I watched the full bottle dripping out his mouth and on to the ground. He never did get the concept and would empty the bottle regularly with his bizarre drinking method.

My Buzz used to drink and then spit it all out all over the fleece.

My little rose likes to hold it in her mouth and dribble it everywhere, especially if someone is watching her drink. As said by mark I think it all depends on the pig each one is different

problem sorted now, l decided to have the bottle 3mm inside the cage and it is fixed in place with snap ties , the boar with the wet chin is dring of nicly now
