I am reading every where that the normal comfy temps for skinny pigs is 25c to 27c. Right this moment it is 22c in the boys room. They appear comfy. Not hot to touch and are eating and drinking normally.I have the window cracked open a bit and it is not stuffy in there. Humidity is at 45%. @Briony_S @helen105281 and anyone else with skinnies can you tell me if this is correct? I know they do prefer warmer climates (in winter I keep their room at 18-21c with a thermostatic oil rad) but ob do not want them to overheat as clearly it is more humid at certain times of the day atm.

The OH says our room is about 23c so that sounds about right. We have had the aircon on though and the dehumidifier so it was most likely cooler at one point. They seem ok though but Phoebe's inflammation was worse yesterday and we had to give her pain relief. I think it was due to the heat. Katie seems happy enough and has been charging about and Phoebe is brighter tonight. For me it is a very fine balance as I have 6 heart pigs and so need to control the humidity over anything else.

I try not to let the pigs get to 25+ as I have a mixture of hairies and one skinny I dont want my hairies to get too hot. In winter my thermostat is set to 21 degrees on my landing but I keep pig room shut and have their radiator on highest setting of 5 (others in house on 3). It gets to about 23-24 in there! I always give my skinny a snuggle sac or fleecy tunnel so he can go and get extra warmth if needed and use snuggle safe too when its colder!

I have a De - humidifier which I have been using when its hotter as it seems to get stuffy and if needs be I leave the window open locked on the crack setting when not in. I have some icey pods which I really need to get in freezer ready as it warms up again!
