Hi Guys

Just been thinking about vet bed, I have recently started using it and have ordered another piece this weekend but wanted opinions/advice as to whether this is suitable for the hotter weather ..... I would say not but what to you guys think?

8;)8;)8;)

I don't think it would be any different than bedding them down on shavings or megazorb say. Just so long as the cage or what ever you use is sheltered from the hot sun.

Thanks Sharons

I wasn't really sure but you are probably right, they will be sheltered from the sun anyway :)

I would personally never use Vetbed in the warmer weather. My lot used to have the option of half and half, and they hated being on the Vetbed when it was warm. I wouldn't want to lay on a fleecy blanket on a warm day either, so that's the way I look at it.

I have half and half at the moment, but I think I will remove when it gets hotter.

I was saying this to OH today...I think it will be too warm so going to get some thinner fleece.

I use vet bed and will continue in summer. They have sleeping bags that they sit on if too hot they have fleece lining but cotton outside so they sit on top when they are too hot to go inside. Something like that would stop them being too hot
