I have just been warned by a neighbour that pet guinea pigs and rabbits are being stolen from garden hutches and sheds. I know we have a few Bristol members so hope you can spread the word to keep pets secure. This is so sad and devastating for the families who have been targeted.

That's dreadful. :(
Have the police been informed?
It's really easy to let then know online, and help them build up a bigger picture of what's going on.

Someone's Ring Doorbell may have a goldmine of evidence on, and it means the police can put out warnings on their social media pages etc. Report | Avon and Somerset Police

Unfortunately it would likely be classified as theft/burglary if the pets aren't found, because there isn't a specific offence for taking rabbits/guinea pigs yet.

I don't know if the police were informed @ScrufflesRules but even if they're not likely to do anything, too much happening round here. I was just warned it's happening by a neighbour. He found out it's happened to several people. It's very unlikely they are being taken to be kept as pets. I will say no more on that as it's too upsetting.

That's awful! If it's happening in Bristol it'll be happening elsewhere too. I'm just pleased my piggies are safe in my garage. We have a roller door which we only switch the electric on for when we want to open it. I hope and pray every piggy is safe.
