Tewdric
Teenage Guinea Pig
Does anyone else have pigs that terrorise/welcome anyone and everyone who dares to enter their domain?
Yesterday the oil delivery man was booked to come and fill our tank ready for the year. I had a late start, and as it's still so mild down with us, I transferred everyone out to their daytime run in the middle of the morning before I went off to work.
My husband then gets a phone call at his workplace from the rather confused tanker driver. We live in a rural location, and the entrance to our drive is not obvious so most people get lost trying to find us first time around. Anyway, whilst speaking to my husband on the phone the driver pulls up onto the drive and then asks...
.. "is it ok to open the gate? You've not got any large dogs or anything?"
"No" says my husband, "no large dogs, but you may find the guinea pigs out in their run."
"Oh yes some guinea pigs" says the driver, "I'm obviously in the right place then; two of them have come over to greet me".
"That'll be Lilith and Brunel" says OH. They do like to know what's going on!
I wish they could speak human - it'd be interesting to know what's been going on at home during the day!
