Last night Daisy had one of her "mad" spells chasing Autumn round the cage trying to sniff her bum. When Autumn decided she had had enough she went and hid in the wooden house. Daisy then spotted that Fudge was out, she went over to him and licked round his one eye so he looked startled with his hair all sticking up on that side. She then walked away from him. Daft Fudge followed her so she licked round his other eye. Was she cleaning him or just feeling frisky and letting him know? I've never seen Lulu do this to Sweep but then she only has to turn her back on him and he assumes he's got the green light to climb aboard!

It looks like Daisy has been in season; sows tend to chase and mount preferably an undersow.

The licking I read as affection and care. Piggies will also lick to "heal". Hafina with her blocked tear channels and Taffy with her cataracts are being frequently licked around the eyes.

Sooty and Sweep wash each other. I've always taken it to mean that they love each other...
