I adopted Connie in November last year (she was about 18 weeks old at the time) but because we have no room in the house, her hutch had to go in the outhouse outside. 2 days later, guilt kicked in so I brought Eliza so Connie would have company considering she originally had a friend who unfortunately died and I didn't like the idea of her being out there alone. A friend of mine however has suggested that I should have left Connie on her own for a while to settle in before introducing her to another guinea pig. (Connie is quite skitty when trying to catch her). She has also commented that the only reason I brought Eliza wasn't because I wanted another, but because I just wanted company for Connie. I suppose looking back, this was true for part the reason but I absolutely love Eliza and do not regret having her at all. Before we took Connie in, I wasn't really fussed about having guinea pigs but when a home was needed for Connie, I felt that I could provide her with a loving home. Was I cruel or did I do the wrong thing in anyway?
