Was Walking And Came Across Piggies!

So I was out for a walk today I walked 15 miles in total. I went to an island near a lock and there's wildlife in big cages and I saw one had guinea pigs I walked past a hutch with a lone guinea pig and then around the back was another cage with loads in a whole herd! They were hiding but I was talking to them for a while making noises sweetly eventually they came out to move it to me in the cage Then a guinea pig train walked around in a circle It was one of the cutest lovely things I have ever seen. Makes me so excited to get my two in around seven weeks (wheeks)

It's just a park with the guinea pig enclosure. couldn't think how to explain it, so on the island which I've been to several times but not seen this part before a guinea pig enclosure and aviary.

I went there the other day! The pigs were really sweet. There's no entrance fee to the island so I guess someone with money to spare and a love of piggies (and birds, since there's an aviary) must pay for their upkeep? Lovely place for a chilled out walk, and the ice cream at the cafe is really good too.

I used to live near there - I'd forgotten about the animals on the island! The school I taught at is about a 15 min march away, we used to have regular trips to Boulter's Lock!

Several years back one of my friends piggies went to live with the then herd after losing her cage mate. From what I remember they were well cared for and only there during the summer months.
