I've just been reading about washer bags to put the piggies fleece etc in to wash to help save the fur and hay clogging up the machine.
my question is doesn't that mean it all ends up back on the items?

It does - but that's much better than getting it stuck in the drum of the machine or clogging up the washing machine filter. It's best to brush off as much as possible before washing - as *kate* has already said. I find it's mostly hairs that still stay on . After washing, I line dry the fleece until damp and then finish them off in the tumble drier as this helps get the hairs off.

thanks all, I know that was a pretty much common sense question. That's how I do the dogs blankets piggieowner. I try not to use tumble I get paranoid about things shrinking even if it says you can so with the fleece I end up taking ages picking the pigs hairs off as don't have a sticky roller thing.

I have been known to use a hoover to get the last remaining hairs off. I have an attachment just for the piggies to stop my OH complaining.
